  1. Can anyone give insight on the SSN topic? Ive been reading the ssn forum but trying to see if theres any updates info on if it will actually be issued or if we need to go in person now that the ead was approved..
  2. When you say that, do you mean that if anyone got an EAD approval, the ssn is not automatically issued? Trying to figure out if this applies to us as well.
  3. EAD card approved yesterday, 6/17! Biometrics was 6/12, so 5 days! We are awaiting the card in the mail!!:) Update**** Looks like combo card was issued based on our e-notice! So the timeline on myuscis for advanced parole never updated. Case still shows as “receipt notice sent” but combo card was issued so thats amazing!!!

  5. Okay- bear with me. Some might remember me asking these questions while we were gathering docs/filing our AOS. Brief Timeline: 5/10-AOS sent out, 5/14- AOS received, 5/20-NOA 1, 5/23- Biometrics App. Scheduled for 6/12. So my main 2 concerns for my husbands AOS were/are 1. Medical Exam He completed all the required vaccinations, x-rays, labs, etc. The civil surgeon did NOT mark off the "K-1 applicant voluntarily completed all vaccinations" box on the back (at least for the copy we have). I didn't notice this until we were filing, but given he was out of status, we decided it was best to file with the DS-3025 and see if we got an RFE. I did send a message to the Civil Surgeons office abroad to ask about the worksheet. He told us to mark the box off ourselves. I, as well as others, determined this was very ill advised and we should not do this to prevent being accused of fraudulent docs. Another person also mentioned to not include the text thread of the civil surgeon telling me to do so, to not bring question to his credibility. He did provide a pdf of the page in question (corrected), but the incorrect box was checked (Immigrant box was checked). I decided to not include any of this in the AOS as I wasn't sure if he filled out the correct boxes in the original copy that was anded to the immigration officer upon entry. Some commented it was weird that he only received Pertussis and not the full TDAP, but other than that, everything was good. MY QUESTION: We live 4 hours away from Anchorage (where our biometrics appointment is), so I want to schedule a Civil Surgeon appointment on the same day as biometrics. However, I don't want to waste money on the appointment, but prefer to do that instead of delaying the process with a potential RFE. What do you guys think, should I wait for RFE or should I do it on our upcoming trip? I was planning on uploading this in the unsolicited evidence section in his USCIS Account. 2. Joint-Sponsor Affidavit of Support When we filed, our joint-sponsor had not yet filed his 2024 Tax Returns. We filed on 5/10, so it was after the federal deadline. Since then, he has filed his returns, and I uploaded a copy of the tax return in the unsolicited evidence section. MY QUESTION: On the original Affidavit, our joint sponsor checked "NO" when asked if he filed a tax return for the 3 most recent tax years (as his most recent filed was 2023 and he was filling out the Affidavit in early May). Does this call for a new affidavit of support to be filled out and submitted? Obviously I am doing everything I can to prevent delaying the process with an RFE. Chat gpt told me I could call the USCIS support line and ask, but the info they can give is limited in terms of advice on such situations. It did say, however, that the representative is able to tell me if there is an upcoming RFE after the biometrics. Is this true? I also see there is an option in the account to send a message to an Immigration Officer, but on the drop down, no such category is described. I know this was long, thanks for reading and for your feedback!
  6. Biometrics appointment schedules for 6/12! We sent in our package on 5/10, received 5/14 and NOA for biometrics was sent out on 5/23. Super excited!
  7. Today I noticed on May 23rd, our case updated to "Biometrics Scheduled and Notice Sent"! Waiting for our date in the mail. We are closest to the Anchorage, AK office.
  8. Hi! My husband (the applicant) got the message that his case was received. We have the receipt number from that, but for the access code, we have to wait for the physical paper right? Can you clarify what you were talking about in regards to “only the applicant with the online access code”? I was tracking the i-129f and the uscis acc is in my name/email etc. does that mean my husband needs to create his own account and we can track it there? Or can I add it to mine?
  9. Thats amazing!! My credit card was charged today for all 3 forms:,) so hoping to receive the i-797 soon! We filed at Phoenix lockbox.
  10. ill be updating here as well! My package just updated as delivered to phoenix lockbox, sent in on 5/10.
  11. Had i seen this previously, we would have gotten the medical exam here upon his entry. Unfortunately we are now on an expired K-1 so I want to send in the AOS immediately. I am hoping at best we will get an RFE for another medical exam.. do you this in my case it is best to send in now? Or get an appointment with civil surgeon first? We are 4 hours away from the closest:,(
  12. I thought it was ill-advised as well. Problem is #1 I didnt see this until completing out AOS package and we sre already out of status. In my opinion, it would be better to file now, include documentation showing they told me to check the box off, but NOT check the box and potentially get an RFE. At least at that point we will have an I-797 and can prove he is here legally..
  13. After revising once more, he said to mark off the top box “ immigrant visa or parolee applicant completed required vaccinations”. Not the k-1 box…
  14. I reached out to the doctor who issues the report. He wrote back to me telling me to check off the box on the back (not joking). I have a screenshot of the conversation. Should I do this and provide a screenshot of the conversation?
  15. Hi, Okay.. I am the wife of a K-1 applicant, we are not filing AOS. I do not need income requirements so we have a joint sponsor (we will call him Bill). To my knowledge, as BILL is married and files taxes JOINTLY with his wife KIM, KIM needs to fill out a I-864A. (Please correct me if wrong and save me the hassle). Part 5. Sponsor’s Promise, Statement, Contact Information, Declaration, Certification and Signature ^^Does BILL or KIM fill out this section?^^ I am assuming it is BILL, but want to be sure.
