Masterji started following Travel requirements for child born in Pakistan to US citizen
-
Hello, I am a United States citizen. My child was born in Pakistan and i have already obtained child's US passport. Is there anyone in this forum who could please guide me about what documents do i need for my baby to travel to United States. I am getting all different stories that I need from Birth certificate to NADRA NICOP card etc etc. I have Birth certificate for the baby, issued by Union Council in Pakistan, I was not able to obtain NADRA or NICOP card for baby as our marriage is not registered in NADRA data base because we belong to Ahmadiyya Community which is declared Minority in Pakistan and Pakistan Government does not recognize Marriage certificate issued by Ahmadiyya Community. My wife, still in Pakistan has Ahmadiyya on her ID card and mine is written as Muslim. Due to this issue, Our marriage is not registered and we could not get NADRA NICOP card for the child. What documents do i need for my child to travel to USA ? Thank you for your help in advance and i hope to hear from someone soon

I wanna give an update here. We emailed NVC and they didn’t get back to us, instead just made my appointment. I tried to contact the embassy to push back our interview but they said there might be a significant wait. Right now I’m just choosing to go with the interview which is in August. For now. Would love to hear everyone’s opinions. Regarding my F1 overstay and if it triggers the ban, my lawyer says I didn’t, and ChatGPT says it’s a grey area. From what I researched on this website it’s saying the same thing. Some people go about the interview fine while some get rejected. But according to current law I should not have triggered the ban.

Reddit says that there is an office in the ministry of interior (مكتب العلاقات مع المواطن بوزارة الداخلية) that handles same day passports for emergencies. Might be worth contacting them and seeing if they could issue a new passport in the week leading up to the interview if it’ll have less than six months validity. (Edit: mods, sorry for the Arabic but figured giving the specific name in a foreign script would be useful in this case.)

Interesting insider information. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Iran leader Khamenei sees his inner circle hollowed out by Israel DUBAI/LONDON (Reuters) - Iran's 86-year-old Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei cuts an increasingly lonely figure. Khamenei has seen his main military and security advisers killed by Israeli air strikes, leaving major holes in his inner circle and raising the risk of strategic errors, according to five people familiar with his decision-making process. One of those sources, who regularly attends meetings with Khamenei, described the risk of miscalculation to Iran on issues of defence and internal stability as "extremely dangerous". THIS is big! ~~~~~~~~~~~~ Fully-robotic heart transplant surgery performed at Baylor St. Luke's Medical Center HOUSTON – Surgeons at Baylor St. Luke's Medical Center successfully performed a fully robotic heart transplant on an adult patient—the first reported in the United States, according to a release. Using a surgical robot, lead surgeon Dr. Kenneth Liao and his team made small, precise incisions, eliminating the need to open the chest and break the breastbone. Liao reportedly removed the diseased heart, and the new heart was implanted through preperitoneal space, avoiding chest incision. So my sister got a call on Saturday to confirm address. She thought it was a scam so she only confirmed what the person said (he did apologize for calling from a private number). We checked the status after the call and both I-130 and I-485 between Saturday and Sunday 6/14-15 showed cases approved. Looks like she may be getting her GC without an interview as the notice letter mentioned if we don't receive the card by X time then contact them. What do you guys think? Sent in adjustment package Jan 31 2025 RFI for I-765 February 2025 Received work permit May 2025 Case approved June 2025 Citizen child filed for mom ALL THE BEST EVERYONE!!!

N-400 June 2025 filers
From_CAN_2_US replied to Babu Frik's topic in US Citizenship Case Filing and Progress Reports
Just reporting from reading May 2025 filer thread - Two additional people who filed on June 4, got interview scheduled end of July. That's 4 cases now of people who filed first week of June and got interview date scheduled within a week of application. Three of those have been confirmed to have submitted under 5 year rule though, so it maybe that would be part of the criteria for such a speedy scheduling of interview. But I am still hoping those of us under 3 year rule don't have to wait too much longer -

Here in NH they have a special oath ceremony every year on 4th of July at the Strawbery Banke Museum in Portsmouth. I assume it is run by the Manchester Field Office. Normally the oath ceremonies are no nonsense business like, but this one (and probably others held on 4th of July across the country) have much more fanfare. The public is also allowed to attend. It's a celebration of the patriotism. I wish I had submitted earlier to have had a chance at that ceremony.... -

Yeah it's mainly for reaping benefits in their home country. Canadians, for example, are no longer eligible to hold TFSA (tax free savings account) once they become LPR or American citizen. So if they continued to hold that type of account after becoming an LPR, they are representing themselves as a nonresident alien. Same with using Canadian healthcare which is only limited to Canadian residents. -
May 2025 AOS Filers

Also I got two duplicate interview notices in the mail.. Not sure what's up with that. One envelope said it was from the National Benefits Center and I don't remember if the other one was as well.. The receipt, dates and content are the same and there wasn't anything new on the USCIS website. -

I paid with separate money orders ($1440 for I-485 and $260 for I-765) and it processed the cases successfully, I think that USCIS expects three separate G-1450 forms for each application instead of one. Someone else might know for sure though. If the I-765 doesn't get processed but the others do you can file it online later at least. I guess you'll find out what happens soon. -
As a US citizen who used to work in the UK on a visa, I remember those lengthy notice periods -- mine was 3 months! My understanding is that "resignation with immediate effect" is often a breach of contract and that a UK employer could sue for damages from the financial effects that results from one's sudden departure. The flipside is all UK employees get 5.6 weeks mandatory paid vacation regardless of the job and one could sue for burnout. Some UK employment contracts allow employers to give "garden leave" after an employee's resignation, which could be served in the US, but then the employer would be giving "free money" to the resigning employee.

You have no path to apply for green card as illegal status you could marry but he has no job and the income to support you and has already shown (subsided housing) that chances are you would become a "public charge" On top of working illegally in the US breaking the law? all the above is against any petition filed on your behalf
